f/1.8, 1/320s, ISO 100 (more •)
A common garden lizard (Calotes Versicolor) found at Karnala Bird Sanctuary. Unfortunately no bird photos for me in this visit. My 70-300 mm lens had a mechanical failure.
I hope, as always, to be back at regular posting at this blog. And it is the reason why I have not killed this blog till now. So if you are reading this, do put in your comments. That'll cheer me up a bit to continue!

Very well taken close up, looks lovely. But I think that a multi-point focus would've made it look even better with the whole of lizard being in focus instead of just its head! :)
Wah Wah.. so where we should we go for our next trip.....????
As usual, fantastic picture!
Not only you make me jealous with your photography skills, I am jealous of the fact that you get to travel so much! Keep the photos coming!

Thanks Amit. My aim was just to focus on the head. I was not there to document the lizard. I was fascinated by its head. So I chose the widest aperture I could get and clicked away!
RJ, off late, I am not travelling much. In fact, I have a desk job now and that will remain for some time. So I only go to places in and around Mumbai.
Great shot.. I've been following your photo blog for a while now and its a fantastic visual treat, especially Taj/Agra/Panaromic ones.
Keep up the good work!
peace...
Yes indeed, I was about to drop this from my daily must-visit bookmarks.
Glad, you just revived it in the nick of time.
Keep up the good work
