Ipoh is the capital city of the Perak state. My first impressions were that of a nice little quiet town. But according to Wikipedia, Ipoh is the second largest city in Malaysia! I realised I'll always feel that about most of the cities in the world, after having lived in Mumbai all m life.
The town hall and the the main railway station (on the opposite side) very much remind of the British colonial history of the town.

This is a beautiful picture. Love the warming effect that the photo carries. A nicely taken shot :-). Great going ... keep it up.
this appears so very picture perfect :)
Thanks, Gagan & Prasoon. :-)
hey are u based in kl - those are great photos ;)
Yeah, Visithra. I am currently working in KL. Although I am from Mumbai.
How did you get that special sparkling effect? Filters/photoshop or is it all through the lens?
btw..voted for you as best fotolog. I had earlier explored yr photolog via zeeshan. glad to have stumble over it again thru indibloggies. Also want to know what photoblogging s/w do you use?
Thanks.
Suhail, the sparkling effect is because of the aperture size of the lens. Narrower the aperture (the f value increases) the more the number of points the star has (or is it the other way; I did not pay particular attention to that). Read this to get some idea.
I have used Movabletype for this website. And with that, a lot of plugins to give me tight control on te output.
BTW, thanks for the vote.
Hey U must watermark your photos..they are awesome
This is awesome. I particulalry like the way the lights sparkle - and that streak caused by a moving vehicle?
ur pictures r truly magical. i'm from ipoh, malaysia, so occupied with daily chores, i don't see the beauty of the town hall till i saw ur picture. good job.
