Yes, it is the top of a temple. The settings were most probably 2-3 seconds at f/8. Actually I haven't recorded them. I still haven't caught on the practice of noting the settings everytime I take a photo :-).
Hey Nilesh
All the pics are awesome man. Fnatastic job.
Don't you think you could've placed the moon somewhere better(by changing your location ofcourse)? What tripod do you have? Got one of those easy to use swiss ball heads? It bugs me to take/carry the tripod all the time though I try hard to do it...
Let me explain. The photo is taken from the roof of my uncle's house to steer clear of trees and wire poles. And you know, one doesn't exactly get all the freedom of movement on a tiled roof! See a newer photo of the same temple at dusk in a couple of posts.
Ahh! BTW, I am in process of procuring one of those ball heads. Ball heads really solve the dilemma you face while taking a tripod on that trip or trek. They are so light yet sturdy.
I think the positioning of the moon is perfect. The darkness of the frame lends it the stature. Anything else on the left of teh fram would have distracted away from the main subject, the templetop.
