I have used normal color negative film (Kodak ProFOTO 100) for these photos. That rich color is also because of a slightly long exposure.
Wow, that's really nice. Every time I try to over/underexpose (by way of f-stops, though I don't see why it would make a difference) my photos always come out rather grainy looking, with the thought of "this is too over/underexposed..."
Trisha, check if you are you using highspeed films. If you have a SLR and tripod, may be you should never venture beyond ISO 100 unless you want to take quick pictures. (I believe)it is normal to see grainy pictures in case of overexposure but not underexposed ones.
Nilesh, Thx. That is a tip for me to try out. :-)
Ya, Arun is right. Never use anything faster than ISO 100 for still/landscape shots, and always use a tripod.
I typically use ISO 100 for shots, in the case I might take a jewel of a shot that I'd like to enlarge. I did not however, get a tripod until last week, and I didn't get my cable release 'til a couple of days ago, so I haven't had the time to go out and test it all out. For clarification (I'm learning by trial and error) overexposed night shots come out muddy looking, and underexposed night shots are just, well, black - yes?
Nice !!!

Simply amazing! Loved it.
Do you use print film? From the colors it looks like slides.
